THE LARGEST DOCUMENTARY SERIES ON THE NATIONAL LIBERATION STRUGGLE
Abdelhafidh Boussouf, a nationalist militant born in 1926 in Mila, played a pivotal role in the Algerian Revolution. A former leader of the OS and a member of the FLN since 1954, he headed Wilaya V before founding and structuring the MALG (Ministry of Armaments and General Communications). This strategic ministry encompassed intelligence, counter espionage, communications, logistics, propaganda, and armaments. Boussouf established an organization inspired by the colonial army but tailored to the needs of the ALN. Under his leadership, hundreds of agents and operators were trained both in Algeria and abroad. The MALG supported both military operations and the diplomacy of the GPRA. His legacy includes the structuring of Algerian intelligence, military communications, armament networks, and the early foundations of the national air force.
